Changdeokgung Palace
Korea has a long history, and luckily the well-preserved palace Changdeokgung is one way to experience the culture by walking through the beautiful architecture from the Joseon Dynasty. Not only is it beautiful, but it also has a lot of interesting history.
It is located in the center of Seoul by Anguk station and is only a 20-minute walk away from Gyeongbukgung palace. The area surrounding Changdeokgung has a lot of beautiful cafes and restaurants. It cost only 3000 won for a ticket to the main palace; for Korean citizens, it is free if you are under 24 years old.
In 1997 the Changdeokgung palace became a UNESCO world heritage site and is today one of the most well-preserved palaces of all the royal palaces. The palace is known for how the buildings and the nature surrounding it blend just perfectly.
In this video, I will present some buildings in the palace, walk through the secret garden and tell some stories you might not know about Changdeokgung palace. Like why it was built and what the kings did for fun when they lived there.
If you are in the area, Changdeokgung is for sure worth to visit; they offer guided tours around the palace and they have a café and a souvenir shop with lots of Korean traditional items.
