Social Justice Resources and Links

The recent deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, along with countless others, named and unnamed, are tragic consequences of the institutionalization of racist policies and practices. As school psychologists, we have a critical responsibility to not only have the tough conversations, but to do the work required in order to advance fairness, equity, and justice, for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). We may all be at different levels of our understanding but in order to be impactful change agents, we must keep our hearts and minds open and educate ourselves. Further, no matter the discomfort, white people must take a critical look inward, "unpacking" their privilege (please go to the google doc Scaffolded Anti-racism resources or June Justice early in your perusal of this collection). We hope this collection is useful for both your personal journey and your engagement with students, families, and school staff. (Here's the disclaimer part ...) NJASP does not formally "endorse" any particular resource with the exception of documents developed by NJASP or NASP.
