Changes to alcohol laws

Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller and Senior Assistant County Attorney Michael McNeill briefed business owners about changes to alcohol licensing laws and requirements for security cameras and armed guards. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office soon will begin enforcement measures that took effect July 1, 2021. Two educational sessions were scheduled Aug. 10 and 12 to alert those who might not be in compliance. Here are the details in a series of live tweets from the first public meeting.
