Project overview
Purpose: To learn about my rights as a consumer, become aware of the things that I should keep in mind while buying a product and how to deal with any kind of exploitation by a seller or manufacturer.
Aim: To make a simple waffle using the ingredients available and to simultaneously learn about my rights as a consumer.
Methodology: This project involved the following steps-
First, I researched about how to make a waffle, and decided to make a waffle as a surprise for my mother of mother's day.
Then, I made a waffle using a simple waffle iron available at home and garnished it with some ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce.
I recorded the whole process of making the waffle as well the review of my younger brother and mother. I then made a short video regarding the same.
Next, I answered some basic questions about my rights as a consumer, the steps taken by the government for the welfare of consumers, information that I consider while buying a product, etc.
Finally, I compiled all the links and other information in the form of a webpage.
Experiences gained: Doing this project, I learnt many things. A learnt a very simple recipe to make a delicious waffle at home. More importantly, I learnt about my rights as a consumer, the steps taken by the government for the welfare of consumers, information that I consider while buying a product, and the need to be an aware consumer. This was a very enriching experience for me and I hope for many such more interesting projects in the future.
