I have this problem trying to draw a line between 2 points. I am trying to use paint to make a line but I can't figure out how I can actually draw a line. How can I do it?

The very thing you're asking to figure out how you can do it is how to do it.  You can't draw a line if you haven't done any drawing yet.
You need to do 3 things before you draw a line:
Click somewhere in the window to generate a mouse click event.
Read the x-coordinate of the click (how far to the left of the
viewport the click was)
Read the y-coordinate of the click (how far below the viewport the click was)
These 3 steps work because you need information about the click, you're not just painting anything in the pixel.

A viewport to hold the information of the line.
A variable to identify the line. 
Then when drawing the line, you will need to draw the first point of the line in the viewport in the very first frame. As you loop through the frames for the animation, you use those coordinates to decide whether to draw the next point or not. 
The variable should be a member of the viewport. 
You might want to draw a line from one point to another, so you would check for that in the same frame, if necessary. If you want a line to loop back from one end to the other, you would check for that in the next frame. You can also add touches to the line to trigger events.
