Week 23 of first grade

Monday, February 22, 2021 - Friday, February 26, 2021 CONGRATULATIONS TO MRS. BLAMOWSKI! She had her baby girl, Vanessa Alana, over the February break. In ELA this week we will continue Journey's Lesson 15 which talks about Animal Groups. We will compare and contrast the different animal groups. We are going to continue talking about the long i sound made with magic e and we will review long a magic e. In math we will finish in Module 3 this week. We will continue to use tally marks and graphs to gather and display information. We will begin Module 4 at the end of the week talking about Place Value, Comparison, Addition and Subtraction to 40. Keep practicing those math facts! February is Black History month so we will continue studying and reading about several famous African Americans that helped make our world a better place!
