Macon-Bibb Commission 9/19/23

The Macon-Bibb County Commission issued a moratorium on solid waste facilities Tuesday and agreed to allow two downtown bars to reopen after a recent homicide. Commissioners also accepted a $20 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration to subsidize passenger service at Middle Georgia Regional Airport over four years. The county also adjusted the budget to allow for the takeover of Fixed Base Operations at the airport and hiring of staff that previously worked for Lowe Aviation that ran the FBO for decades.
