Biodiverse 2.2.4.0 is available in Mac and Windows format, requires GIS, and is a free update for Biodiverse 2.0 and Biodiverse 1.3.

Biodiverse 1.3 is an ArcGIS Extension for the analysis of diversity within species community data and incorporates a set of powerful functions that allow you to explore the diversity and distribution patterns of multiple taxonomic groups across geographic extent and time.

Biodiverse comes with a number of tools that allow you to map, explore, analyse, validate and compare diversity patterns for a specified number of taxonomic groups.
Biodiverse uses a spatial moving window approach to allow users to get an overview of differences in taxonomic, phylogenetic, matrix and species data across a given study area. Taxonomic data, phylogenetic relationships and matrix (i.e. genetic distance) relationships may be derived from any source, and combined, mapped and explored.
Biodiverse supports a range of diversity analyses within a spatial moving window. These analyses may include species richness, endemism, phylogenetic diversity and beta diversity, while it also supports hierarchical cluster analyses of species and sites using an agglomerative process.
Biodiverse also includes a library of species data and taxonomic relationships for use in studies that may require spatially constrained clustering and beta diversity analyses. Biodiverse also supports randomization tests that allow users to assess differences between observed and null data scenarios.

A user friendly, open source tool (reviewed [1]) for the spatial analysis of diversity, using indices based on taxonomic, phylogenetic and matrix-based (e.g. genetic distance) relationships, as well as related environmental and temporal variations.
All these variations are represented on a continuous scale from 0 (monomorphic) to 1 (constant) and can be visualised in terms of a histogram and scatter plot.
Even though there are other tools available, such as SDMs, for predicting species distribution using environmental data, Biodiverse Product Key is a very efficient and user friendly tool for spatial analysis of diversity and the visualisation of results.
The diversity estimates are based on the classical taxa-based (richness, evenness, species richness) and phylogenetic (PD, PD(M), β) approaches, or a combination of both. The user has full control over the method, starting values and processing mode (e.g. use of original species data vs occurrence data), as well as the input format (e.g. delimited text files, GML, ArcGIS shapefile, Esri shapefile, KML, CSV files).
Biodiverse includes several similarity measures (taxa-based and phylogenetic) and indices (evenness, richness, diversity) with the inclusion of beta diversity (community turnover and nestedness). Since the beta diversity is calculated, most of the associated methods become fully automatic, based on the user-set threshold.
A number of statistical outputs are also generated, including some testing which can be used to compare a given hypothesis against randomness or to test whether a given factor (e.g. a sampling site) significantly influences diversity.
Not only do Biodiverse's models perform well (excepting topological ones where it performs very poorly), but also they are robust, comparing well against randomisations. Some of the models are available as regular functions of the R statistics engine.
