**Abstract** {#abstract.unnumbered}

This article presents the changes in the Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) version 1.11. The changes are included in a new minor release, KmdfWin7x64.msi (1.11.0), of the KMDF, designed for installation on Windows 7 x64-based systems. This article provides an overview of these changes, which are available in the Patch for KMDF version 1.11. The changes in this article include the following:
-   A new method has been added to the [**DriverEntry**]{} method of [**KmdfFileSystem**]{} (a WDM kernel-mode file system) for querying the configuration section used for enabling automatic remounting of a virtual file system using the [**DriverExtend**]{} method.
-   A new command line option for the [**DriverExtend**]{} method has been added.
-   The [**SetupInitialization**]{} method of the [**KmdfFileSystem**]{} has been updated to generate information about the [**DriverExtend**]{} method call for the first time the [**DriverExtend**]{} method is called by the KMDF.
-   The **command line** utility has been updated for the KMDF.
-   The location of the files and the directory containing the files, which are made available by the KMDF, has been updated.
