Taggtool has been developed to improve the method used to find files on the computer.
You simply drag and drop files, folders, or even entire drives into the window and Taggtool will look for files that share the same tags.
Taggtool provides a search feature that lets you locate and examine any file that matches your query.

Standard Tagging
Standard Tagging makes it easy to search through the file names, descriptions and other properties (such as Author, Company etc.) by using simple key words.
Standard Tagging makes it easy to find files that are tagged with the same tag. For instance: You could be looking for travel related files that were sent on the same date as a file that is tagged with any of the following tags: Travel, Insurance and Quote. This might take a bit longer to find files, however it ensures that you will find all files that are tagged the same way.
Taggtool provides a file search feature to let you find and examine files that share your tags. The search features lets you enter any type of text into the search widget and Taggtool will find all files that match your query.
Taggtool is a single application. You can use it to search your entire harddrive or only look within one folder or disk partition.
Taggtool runs on Windows 98, NT and 2000. Taggtool is fully compatible with Windows XP and Vista.
Taggtool contains several features to help users find things. These features include:
• Quick Search – Allows you to search through the list of files to find the file you are looking for. Enter the search string into the quick search widget and hit enter. You will find all files matching your search string.
• Tag Search – Allows you to enter one or more tags and Taggtool will find and show all files that are tagged with at least one of the tags.
• Tag lists – The program can also generate a list of tags along with the files that are tagged with each of the tags.
• Tags and Folders – You can also use the program to find files that are tagged with one or more of a list of specific tags. You could for instance choose to search through your files and folders for quotes, travel and travel destinations.
• Tagging – The program allows you to tag files, folders and drives with different tags and to search through all files, folders and drives tagged with the same tags

Taggtool is a free, easy to use, tagging utility. It will help you find your files based on tags entered. Tags can be text, keywords or a mix of both.
Taggtool enables the user to organize their files into a hierarchical system. You create the tags by entering text and keywords and a powerful algorithm that finds related files based on those tags creates the hierarchy. It is also possible to hierarchize using keyword data entered by the user.
The user can start adding tags to files as they are viewing them or while in transit to your tagging server. There is no need to have your file saved before tagging it. Once tagged you can always return to the tag structure to view files related to it and so on.
Tag changes are automatically synchronized across all your client systems. It is possible to save tags from clients to the server but the tags on the client will not be saved until you decide to do so.
By default, Taggtool will look for files in a folder and in sub-folders. The user can define a custom path to search by using the 'Search for...' dialog.
