CacheGuard OS NG is a fresh, fast and powerful Linux-based Internet appliance, created to optimize your web traffic. This OS appliance features a built-in firewall that protects your web traffic from DDOS attacks and malware, as well as a built-in antivirus solution that is capable of scanning multiple file types. Further, CacheGuard OS NG supports URL filtering (whitelist, blacklist) and can be customized in both a web-based and command-line way. It also implements cache mediation and web-based configuration via which you can easily set various settings such as proxy port, URL blacklist, URL white-list and cache rotation, among others.
The firewall is based on the popular netfilter/iptables and thus supports a great variety of tools and commands.
