RTFTools is a basic tool that lets you update the names and author information in the.rtf files in the directory you've specified.
The program reads a directory containing rtf format ebooks, and looks for any new author information. It will find new author information, replace all instances of the author names in all of the rtf format ebooks in the specified directory, and then write back the new rtf format ebooks into a different location. In the case of Amazon KF8 format ebooks, it will overwrite the current file of the file with your new information.
It also has a function that will replace all of the author information in a specific rtf format ebook in a selected directory.
After a successful run of the program, you can check for any errors in the xml files. It will report the errors to you.

RTF Tools Installation:
RTF Tools can be installed without creating an account with Sony.
The user first opens the program, and then is asked to enter the rtf formatted ebooks with updated author information. A dialog appears with a list of the rtf format ebooks that have author information that can be updated with RTF Tools.
You then select the ebooks that you wish to update by clicking on the title. Then you select the author information from the form. Click the install button to start the update process. If you have selected more than one rtf file, the first file will be updated first.
You are then told how many files have been updated and a dialog appears with a list of the files and folders that have been updated. The user can check to see if there have been any errors. The user then clicks ok to close the dialog.
