Basics
The following are the most essential commands that you'll be using. In the previous versions of AutoCAD, you had to choose between one of them and a function key. That is no longer the case in the latest versions of AutoCAD. So, the following may be new to you.
Use these commands to begin a new drawing, edit an existing drawing, turn existing drawings into print-ready drawings and modify existing objects.

AutoCAD and ArchiCAD are the only packages of AutoCAD to include 3D drawing functionality.
Advanced 3D and Non-3D drawing files can be opened and converted into the other formats.
Creation
A 3D model can be created using 3D Studio Max or Maya. Max is primarily used for animation. Maya is primarily used for film creation and for industrial design.  The.MAX file format is used to represent 3D data in 3D Studio Max and Maya. 3D Studio Max supports.MAX as well as.MBT files. Maya supports the.MBS and.M3D file formats.
