I got a lot out of two different sessions today; the self-lead Greenbush session and The session on Executive Function.
Greenbush - The website has tutorials for many different resources that prioritize FREE platforms for teacher and students. I downloaded Google Lens and practiced the tutorial for it (which was very cool) and also learned about a podcast making site called Anchor that my students can use for free without purchasing and more equipment It will allow them to record and edit podcasts that I can use in projects for my classroom.
Executive Function - I must say, this was by far the best PD session I have had in a very long time.  Paige Buckingham is an expert in the field and give me actual, linear and practicable information that can make me a better educator. She works in Lawrence and we should consider her as a speaker on the topic for our building. She discussed everything from Miller's Law for retention and memory to competency links to a student's CC readiness. She gave me (personally) some ideas for how I could help develop the 11 executive functions that many of my students are struggling with. Great session.
