The Telangana word came into prominence during the Delhi Sultanate to refer to the region between Godavari and Thungabadra Rivers. During Qutub Shahi rule, Telangana was referred to coastal Andhra also. In the Nizam period, after giving sarcars and ceded districts to the British, the remaining Telugu speaking areas were called as Telangana.I found that there is not much authenticated material is available on Ancient History of Telangana while making notes for my son for his competitive exams. The Telangana history is reconstructed, recently in 2015 for TSPSC examinations.I am not a historian but I have the history knowledge because of my interest in history and I took history in Civil Services Preliminary as well as in Main Examination way back in 1985 which was of M. Phil. And above Standard.This book certainly help the aspirants of the competitive exams in Telangana. Writing history is not so difficult than writing brief history when large quantities of source material is available.
