 APPENDIX A. Labor productivity indices: approach and assumptions
 The approach proposed in this book assumes that productivity growth is a function of labor demand growth, the level of social support, and other factors. Productivity growth can come from lower wages, higher organizational standards, or a higher division of labor. Usually, these three factors are considered together as a single category, because for almost the entire history of the economy, the share of wages in profits was high and the overall profits of companies were often relatively low. However, this does not mean that, if we want to understand the reasons why wages are constantly falling (as shown in Table 1.8), they cannot cover basic costs in all sectors of the economy. At its low level, growth can be limited, and in general it serves as an important indicator of the economy and business involved in business.
