Going the extra mile is about love; it’s a passionate obsession with excellence. I won't deny the fact that every year I have taken an extra mile effort for everything.  Certainly, the credit goes to many people whom I admire. In 2021,I got the opportunity to express my opinions and ideas freely in front of our Vice Principal  who gave me the chance to conduct various activities like Mother's Day, Doctor's Day, Creating Moments of Happiness together, Call Us to School-Puppet Talk, Fancy Dress Competition, Nutrition Talk, Book day and Poem Recitation. Out of these Visit to School was a big hit among our children and Parents.
Though the year 2020 was also online but in that year, I didn't experiment using the chat area as a means of connection. In 2021,my son shared that he uses the chat box very frequently in his English class(Keya ma'am) which he enjoys the most. Gradually, I noticed his excitement for his English class as he always used to get the opportunity to express his opinions freely. I started generalizing his feelings and decided to  experiment it with my children, I was quite apprehensive as grade 1 children are quite small but beyond my expectations ,they used it so wonderfully . I extend my sincere gratitude to our supervisor Keya ma'am for pouring these creative ideas into our mind. Since then, CHAT BOX has become an important tool for my teaching and a food for thought for my students.  This non verbal communication made it easier for students who hesitate to answer in front of the whole class. 
 I am able to create a bond of intimate connection with my students through my FRIENDSHIP RULES which act as a booster shot to make them follow the rules without being dominant.  
CRAZY CLAPS are quite popular amongst my children as they break the monotony of the class by making them active and are an intent to praise each kid in a special way. Butterfly clap, Roller Coaster clap, Rocket clap, Chapati Clap are few of them. Still more on the way as  everyday new clap is added  to our collection by our children like Superman Clap, Rooster Clap, Gorilla clap and many more which motivates them to do better each day.
Parents' thank you mails  and feedback on connecting millions for seeing their children progressing, following friendship rules at home as well and yearning for crazy claps added one more feather in my cap.
I started my journey of writing articles in 2021 as I was inspired by my SME Radhika ma'am to write anecdotes or the experiences of the class. My childhood desire cropped up again and hopefully I'll continue my this journey of writing whole throughout my life. Fortunately, all the articles are published in NIE.
In 2021, I took an extra mile to appreciate my students through virtual stickers for their small gestures and hard work and stickers on wats app official group for submitting their assignments. I understood the importance of virtual stickers when I observed my child taking initiative to sit in School Uniform for his  online classes as he always used to get the sticker for the same in his English class(Keya ma'am).So again credit goes to Keya ma'am for keeping me motivated for the same.
I strongly agree with the fact that feeling of being appreciated is not only the greatest emotional need of children but of adults as well. I was awarded as Rising Star and the Path Breaker of the year 2021-22 and also cleared my first paper of CTET in 2021.

Wishing a student a happy birthday is one regaling way to make their day. I sent the customized birthday card packed with inspiring words, great blessings, and high future hopes for them.
The year 2022 was again a challenging year as my children entered the school after two years of virtual learning. However, through constant support of my SME- Radhika ma'am, Principal ma'am- Dhanya ma'am vice principal ma'am-Geeta ma'am and supervisor Keya ma'am, I was able to give best to my children. Geeta ma'am and Keya ma'am always gave me the opportunities to conduct different activities like Butter Making fun experiment (also published in NIE), Assembly on Gandhi Jayanti, Jingles Shout Out, Christmas and children's day  celebration, anchoring of different events, poem recitation and many more.
Conversation Starter before introducing any topic is an effective method to build a bond with my children. They always look forward to it as it gives them the opportunity to express themselves freely. Listening and accepting their answers without diminishing their responses helps to build confidence and self esteem in them, a solid foundation which will benefit them for a life time. I enter the class, I try to start my class with a starter and leave them with a food for thought. Parents are extending gratitude for my efforts through mails. In the last two years, I have got 30 mails of appreciation.

Taking children beyond the classroom is like unclipping their wings. I used this technique for  literature and grammar concepts like nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs which seem difficult to grasp but are a lot easier to understand  outside the classroom when they're set in context and when the children are engaged and motivated to learn.
I  have also worked as Social Media head for my class and have penned the write ups for the post to be sent for Social Media platform. Moreover, I have maintained the records of activities and events conducted  in classes 1 to 5 both physically and digitally.

To improve, one must know how one is doing! In my classes, I play passing the hot potato/ parcel after each concept to evaluate the efficacy of my teaching and the learning of my students. It is quite useful in remediation process and had shifted my classroom from individual learning to a space of collective learning.

In a nutshell, each day, I am becoming a better person inside and out.
