You may have heard of the statement that all life forms of made of carbon. well, how? Is my body made up of carbon? The answer is yes and no. But what is carbon ? And why do we say carbon footprints? Let's take a look. 
 
 Carbon is an element of the periodic table. The different States and different forms of carbon produce different things. Have you heard of the term carbohydrates? That is just a different form of carbon. The food you eat has carbohydrates and thus includes carbon. Carbohydrates get inside cells to give them energy. 
 
 Glucose is basically just carbon-carbohydrates. But how is our body made up of carbon? Your skin Has tissues that have lipids and lipids and the  include carbon or carbon cells. So you can say all lipids contain carbon. But one question is still unanswered; why do we say carbon footprints?  
 
That is because of something called hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are the fuel that runs the earth. They are something like patrols and gases. you know petrol are mixtures right? So they do contain other elements and are not just pure carbon. 
 
 However, a lot of Hydrocarbons are very bad for the environment and we do not want that. That is because hydrocarbons are nothing but these harmful gases like methaine and carbon monoxide. So to be on the safer side let's use less of it. but how is carbon so many things? When carbon is burned produces hydrocarbons. And when it is modified, it is carbohydrates.  
 
If there was no carbon then there would be no earth and no humans. Carbon dioxide is basically just a form of carbon and when plants take in the carbon dioxide they give out oxygen. so if there is no carbon dioxide then there is no oxygen.  
 
Basically, carbon is an Angel. that fire extinguisher that you use to stop your house from burning to ashes is just liquid carbon. And carbon dioxide gives us so many things in the earth .did you know that diamonds are also just a form of carbon? Interesting!  
 
Carbon gives us so many things! glucose, carbon dioxide, cellulose, cells, membranes, limestones, marbles hydrocarbons, and so much more!! So as a conclusion I would like to say that carbon rocks, And also is the mum of a few.
