The very first time I played Stranger Things it was the summer of 2017. I had never heard of the show before in my life. The concept of the game really intrigued me and I enjoyed it so much that I became addicted.
The “What is Stranger Things?”
I am a big fan of Stephen King. While I haven’t read all of his books (mainly because I am a biology major and my lack of free time!), I’ve read enough of his books so that I was familiar with his main character, Mike Hanlon, the boy with a knack for solving mysteries.
When I first played this game I didn’t even realize it was based on “Stranger Things,” until I finally watched the show and realized it was.
I know I’m in the minority, but I absolutely loved the show and it had one of the biggest following of any show before it.

The game – Stranger Things 3 – in brief
Similar to the show, the game takes place in the 1980s in Hawkins, Indiana. Fans, whether they realize it or not, will be thinking about all the details that in the show; from the E.T., the missing jerk Steve, the dumbed down police department, the weird car, the giant tree, and every single detail about the Halloween decorations.
While there are certain details that they incorporated into the game. They were very faithful to the show and they even reused some of the actors as they were able to use the same actors as the show.
If you love the show then you’re going to love the game. There is so much going on in this game that it almost equals the show to be honest.
