Sorting music files in a database can be a task every day. Whether you use FileExplorer or simply a music player such as Amarok, We’ve gathered a few tricks for you to make it easy.
We’ve already written a detailed guide on how to sort Amarok music, and here we are to provide a few utilities for anyone who likes to perform a simple database search.
This is especially useful if you want to organize your music collection by year, artist, type of music, alphabetically, etc.

Comparison
This may be an obvious option, but it’s always good to be sure about the reliability of a tool.
In terms of simplicity, FileSort is in a first place, just with an interface to let you manage several folders and subfolders. The search is also fairly easy to be used: just enter the part of the music you want to find and immediately the list is displayed.
The only problem is its significant amount of memory and CPU. FileSort isn’t free though and the developers kindly offer a 30-day license for €20. Once the trial version is up, you can upgrade for €5 per month.
For those who are looking for a more complete tool, DBControl or CDDB/isomart should be the right choice.
DBControl shows you the most recent album, artist, genre, year, etc. by choosing a particular column from a database containing the information.
Obviously this means you need to rely on a reliable service to get the information and CDDB is definitely one of them.
If you don’t want to download and install any database, you might want to try isomart.com (opensource).

Hangman is a letter substitution game in which a person (or the computer) guesses words based on the substitution of letters in the original letters used to form the word. In this category, people play the game by using either their keyboard or game console with a hangman display screen. The word is usually displayed by changing each letter's colour to red.
The user, a hangman character and the position of the grid are all part of the same display and the challenge is to guess the word (as in the game of hangman) as quickly as possible.
To show a word to the user, the computer sends the letters in the word to the game console or to a keyboard. It shows the guessable letters in a circle and the possible values of the letters in a box, from which the user chooses their guess. The only feedback the user receives is whether the word was guessed correctly or not.
If the user gets a letter guess wrong they can change their letter or try again. If a letter guess is correct they can move to the next letter and try again. You can specify how many guesses a user has left before they are told they guessed correctly.
Once you guess the word the display is cleared and the hangman character is replaced by the next word. The user is able to progress to the next word by pressing a key or by quitting the game.
Hangman uses a grid of 12×12 to show the words, and uses letters to indicate the position of each word. The first word is automatically generated on display, and the others can be displayed manually.
When a user guesses a word, they are given a letter. The word is then displayed, where the guessed letters are shown in red. At this point the user is able to use the keyboard to input a letter which will be substituted in the correct position.
