Polson residents vote for representation and small business protection
Lake County is historically less conservative than its northern neighbors, but far more so than the liberal Missoula County to the south. Polls were moving quickly this afternoon, with 6 people moving through the Linderman Gym voting stations every 10 minutes. Nationally, a Pew Research Center report shows that 72% of registered voters are “extremely” or “very” motivated to vote. Likewise, a Montana State University Billings poll from October shows nearly 82% of Montana respondents planned to vote in the midterms. Representation, lowering inflation and overturning President Biden is what motivated some Polson residents to head to the polls this afternoon.
