The provincial assembly enacts the Kanun Tanah Negara as a statute of the people and the state of Pahang.

The 'Kanun Tanah Negara' or 'National Land Code' was passed by the State Assembly in 1965.. The Pahang Kanun has 15 Article. Kanun Tanah Negara (Act 56 of 1965) (Kanun 2002). (i) All rights and interests in and to the land and property acquired for the purposes of public interests shall vest in the State; or (ii) such rights shall be limited to a period of twenty years from the date of its acquisition. (ii) No person shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years; (iii) no person, firm, corporation or public authority shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years; (iv) no person, firm, corporation or public authority shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years; (v) no person shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years; (vi) no person, firm, corporation or public authority shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years; (vii) no person, firm, corporation or public authority shall acquire or continue to hold any land or property for more than twenty years.
