Designed to help scientists view, manipulate, sort and analyze DNA sequences, FinchTV may be the software of choice for anyone who needs to view, analyze, and sort a large number of DNA sequences. The user interface is easy to navigate and requires only a simple click of the mouse to run the software.
Chromatograms can be open in four different views: Lane (1 - 120), Sequence (A,C,T,G), Nucleotide (A,C,T,G), and any combination of Lane and Sequence. The sequence can be viewed in a Bar Graph, and is also viewable in a Matching Sequence Bar graph. There are multiple ways to view and manipulate the DNA sequence.
1) Sequences are sorted by query or by the location of the sequence in the chromatogram file.
2) Identifiers are identified.
3) Sequences can be duplicated from one line to another.
4) Multi-view is supported.
5) Sequences can be loaded and manipulated from the same Chromatogram file.
6) Sequences can be loaded and modified from another chromatogram file.

1) Search Sequences: The user interface allows users to quickly find a specific area, base or identifier within a single sequence.

FinchTV is a DNA sequence analyzing and viewing program designed to make the job of researchers more straightforward. It is designed to graphically show a user where DNA bases occur within a sequence, allowing the user to more easily identify sequences that match the expected template. FinchTV supports the ABI and the Staden database file formats, and also has the ability to view Chromatograms within a multi-pane view.
