OHBP Twitter/X Conference

The OHBP Twitter/X Conference, organised by the One Health Breakthrough Partnership took place on 26th September 2023 and was dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of pharmaceuticals in the environment. By aligning with the policy priorities of the Scottish Government and integrating with relevant working areas, such as Sustainable Healthcare and Hydro Nation, the conference sought to drive forward impactful solutions and foster collaboration to mitigate the environmental impacts of pharmaceutical pollution within Scotland and beyond. The OHBP Twitter/X Conference provided a platform to explore the environmental impact of pharmaceuticals, emphasising their significance within the One Health framework. It highlighted innovative research, technologies, and initiatives that align with Scotland Government's sustainable healthcare agenda, highlighting how these advancements can be integrated into healthcare practices to minimise the environmental footprint of pharmaceuticals. The conference also aligned with the Hydro Nation initiative, examining the role of water resources in pharmaceutical pollution and exploring sustainable water management strategies. By integrating with these working areas, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to discuss policy implications, exchange knowledge, and foster collaboration between researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and the wider community, contributing to Scotland's commitment to a greener and more resilient future.
