YouTube Doxxing Situation and Favoritism is Dangerous

Recently, popular YouTuber Jack Douglass (jacksfilms) has had his privacy violated by fellow content creator Alia Marie "Lia" Shelesh (SSSniperWolf). Lately, Douglass has been making videos criticizing Shelesh over her reaction videos which he believes are "stealing content". Angered by Douglass' criticisms, Shelesh posted on her Instagram whether or not she should go to his house. She did end up going and posting Jack's and his wife's address saying "Come out so we can talk like adults". After receiving intense backlash, she quickly deleted the post, but the damage had already been done. Google searches of Jack's address had spiked, and he and his wife had stated that "they no longer feel safe in their own home". However, some of the most vital outrage was directed at YouTube for their lack of statement, tone-deaf comments, and their final punishment against Shelesh despite her blatant violation of policies, when many other content creators have been more severely punished for far less egregious offenses, and raising concerns about the safety of content creators
