Rain is flowing from a roofless sky into the pinched mouth of a graveyard on the hill. This graveyard is erected on the site where, a century ago, four paupers of humble means fell in love and lost their life-long-loves in a single day.
Four descendants of that nightmarish couple still live, but are not of one mind. The child of the eldest had the privilege to become the child of the night and, therefore, remain alive as he was born in the cover of darkness.

The easiest way to install Dark Skies is through the Appearance manager in System Settings. In System Settings, choose Desktop and then find the Appearance tab. Then, under the Background tab, choose Other.

Thanks a lot for making this theme.
I wanted one for a while, and a few of my friends have to use similar ones which kind of suck, so I wanted to have one for myself.
I like the night view, it's nice.
Can you give me some idea for a change as well? I don't like the purple color as it makes it look very dark.
I love this theme. I also noticed that you haven't updated the look of the close and minimize buttons but it looks pretty good still to me.
The purple color is ugly. If you weren't trying to make a dark looking theme, you would have some bright colors. Do you want a darker purple, something more blue, or something in your own color scheme?

I was actually thinking of making this for my friends as well. But the colors might scare them off. I wanted something that seemed a bit "horror"... maybe a dark grey and orange-ish.
You may want to try to change the purple colour as well. Maybe something more light and bright, and/or have the bright colours on top of the dark background. It's a question of how much contrast you want to give off.
