The year is 2095.
Suspect No. 4 was found dead after opening the locker of the train “Guo Si” to the World Train Championship.
Since then, the 5th No. has left the town and there is no news about it. The police department are going back and forth trying to find the real culprit and get the next identity.
The 6th No. is a young man that was born in the town of Guo Si. For the local residents he is an ordinary citizen living in the countryside.
His elder brother, Guo Hao, was a security guard at the local retail store and was killed by a serial killer.
Since then, 7th No. is said to have witnessed the death of Guo Hao.
The 8th No. is a cellist that plays sad music. She was under constant observation because of her cancer, and in desperation she is said to have jumped off the tower and she is missing.
The 9th No. is someone in a wheelchair. He seems to be the prime suspect, since he has frequently visited the crime scene.
One day, No. 5 walks out of town and disappears.

The story is about the police department and their investigation into the crimes.
The investigation is conducted through the red and white worlds.
Even if the protagonist is not involved in the crimes, he will still wander around the city and eventually find the exit.
Since this is a horror game, the protagonist must confront the grotesque truths of the murders.

About Maelstrom:
Maelstrom is a Battle Royale game with elements of economic and naval warfare and occasional sea monsters.
The players are placed on an island of unknown location. The object of the game is to remain alive as long as possible. The game begins with the weakest player on the island dying.
As time goes on and no player is left alive, the island starts to sink. The last player standing on the island is crowned the victor and claims the game’s loot.
How to Play:
-Join Maelstrom via Steam, Desura, or GoG.com.
-Use the keyboard to move. You can also use WASD or mouse scrollwheel.
-If you have a controller, connect it. A controller will be supported in a future release.
-Combine sets of gear to boost your stats.

Mechanics: The hit points, the three properties of velocity, the radius of your fire and the amount of force applied is controlled by a counter like the one you would encounter in a bank. They are the only two counters that you can collect and barter for. Everything else is just a bonus. The bonuses are there for balance purposes. They do not affect the game in any way. In the final level, you have to enter a large fortress before the end of the level, thus containing the power of the boss. Any bonus counter you have collected, will be used to break the game and let the boss kill you. For this reason, play this game with friends!
Also, do not collect powerups during the first three levels. The powerups in the later levels do not actually make much of a difference. I know some powerups come in the later levels, and I can not really say that they help much in the earlier levels. It is kind of counterintuitive. If the game is going well, though, collect the powerups.
