Good morning my fellow students, teachers and parents, my name is Tareq Anki from the 10th grade in Ahliyyah and Mutran school. For my personal project, I chose to create an application that combines my interest in sports and technology. When I was young, I was very curious about football games, I spent a lot of time watching football games, reading about the players, and everything related to it. I was also interested in technology, and during my digital design course I realized that applications and websites are excellent tools for raising awareness. I began to recognize that playing football is essential, but it contains a lot of strategies and benefits that people don’t know. After planning for an idea to merge between my interests, I came up with an application that will raise awareness about the importance and benefits of football by providing the user with daily tips and useful information. Through this application, I will be able to collect more information as I will enrich my knowledge with others. My goal was to accomplish a well-designed application offering solid information from reliable resources educating football lovers about techniques. During my design phase I chose the subjects of biology, digital design and PHE as my main pillars leading to the final product. Biology is the study of living organisms and I will explore the science of life by learning about the importance of exercising and how it affects the human’s body in a positive way. As for digital design, my passion started since grade six and I decided to combine it with biology to come up with a useful application for users. Moreover, I choose PHE because it motivated me to choose football, which is my hobby and I figured that my application can raise awareness about football in general. One of the challenges that I faced was time management. I thought that creating an application using an app inventor is easy, however, it wasn’t at all. To overcome this challenge, I watched tutorials on YouTube that helped me a lot. At the end of my personal project, I realized how much I enjoyed my time while creating this application, and I appreciate the teachers’ hard work throughout this journey.
