Get specific chars from string
I have a string, I want to get the first n chars of this string and put them in a new string.
For example:
I have
string text = "hello";
I want to get
string result = "hell";
This is the code I used
int length = text.Length;
var firstChars = text.Substring(0,length/2);
var secondChars = text.Substring(length/2,length/2);
I know there are other ways, but I want to know if there is a better way to do this, because I am using a very large string, and I am afraid the execution time could become very slow.
