This is the product of art that I found at my house. This is called a bulul which originated from Ifugao people of northern Luzon Island in the Philippines. This a male figure representing a rice diet need to guard their rice granary.
The one who found the item is my mom which bought this figure in Baguio when we were outing with our family back in 2019. It was a design for our house because it compliments the color and theme of the house which is brown and wood, with bulul being a traditional wooden figure.
I would connect it to a philosophical idea of tolstoy through art as a communication of emotion because it shows the history of our ancestors, what kind of arts they did in their age and era. It also represents what our ancestors did from the past which would reflect to what we are now in the present which expresses feelings and emotions of man's existence.
