What's the cost of losing vultures?

Eyal Frank from the University of Chicago and Anant Sudarshan from Warwick University, who is also a senior fellow at EPIC have conducted a research study that has found that the functional extinction of vultures in India led to increased human mortality due to a negative impact on sanitation. The study has received attention from the press in India as well as the international press.
