The structure of the data can be queried by specific objects called attributes. This chapter describes attributes, their structure and syntax as well as their usage.
Each data provider and each corresponding DS must be installed into a specific interface. Usually, a proxy DS has to be used to connect to Active Directory. It uses the underlying Windows NTDS or OperLDAP interface to connect to Active Directory.
