Macon-Bibb Commission 2/7/23

During a Committee of the Whole and regular Macon-Bibb County Commission meeting, seven alcohol licenses were considered and some denied. Commissioners also funded $237,000 for maintenance equipment at Bowden Golf Course, approved a $237,000 reimbursable grant from the FAA for runway work at Middle Georgia Regional Airport, dispersed $190,000 for homelessness prevention, funded $27,000 for IT services at the county's new building at 688 Walnut St. and made appointments to the Planning & Zoning Commission, Fort Hawkins Board and River Edge Board. Commissioners also recognized Black History Month and Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month and county graduates of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion course through the Georgia Municipal Association.
