In 2006, Roblox Corporation was founded by David Baszucki, Erik Cassel, and David Baszucki's father, Dale Baszucki. The company had two goals: to create an all-in-one games platform and to create the power to create the types of games that users wanted to play. Baszucki had a successful background with Zyan media, and Roblox's first game was released shortly after Roblox Corporation was created. This game was called Sensible Soccer and consisted of both single-player and multiplayer games. In mid-2006, Roblox was the second-largest social game on Facebook, behind FarmVille. Roblox games were updated regularly and new genres were added. Zyan Media sold its interest in Roblox in 2006 for $12 million.
