‘Gorilla coach’s roar’ that even foreign players recognize at a glance

The '2023-2024 Dodram V League' women's media day was held at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul on the afternoon of the 12th.  At the event, coaches from seven women's teams, domestic players, foreign players, and Asian quarter players attended and expressed their determination for the season.  This season, many V-League women's players changed their uniforms. Five players, Park Jeong-ah, Hwang Min-kyung, Kim Su-ji, Jeong Dae-yeon, and Chae Seon-ah, made free agent transfers, and there were two trades. In particular, the appearance of Asi Quarter players this season is another attraction. At the women's media day, which was divided into first and second bases, there was a corner for foreign players and Asian quarter players to relax. Titled ‘Unlock the V-League’, it was a corner where players had to guess what the person in the photo was doing. The first main character was a scene where coach Hee-jin Ko of Cheong Kwan-jang roared after scoring a goal during his time at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. When the picture appeared on the electronic display, Giovanni, the team leader, thought for a moment, then clapped and laughed. It was an old photo of his own team, coach Ko Hee-jin. Giovanni wrote ‘THE KING KONG’ ceremony on the board in front of him. When the MC asked Giovanni, "Did you know that director Go Hee-jin's nickname is Gorilla?" he responded with a strong "NO" and then added, "I had no idea that the director's nickname was King Kong. But I knew as soon as I saw the picture." It made director Go Hee-jin and the attendees smile brightly.
