Eselmir is an adventure game where time is for a limited resource.
Two worlds meet.
The bright and modern is the noir and grimy world of Eselmir.
The world needs a hero to overcome the obstacles and challenges it faces.

In the game, you play as Fenis, a young man whose life was turned upside down when he accidentally interrupts the final battle of the King of the city of Eselmir, his foster brother, the Prince of the city of Rumenia.
The unexpected happens and Fenis has no choice but to visit a mysterious cave, where in turn you will find yourself in the parallel world of Eselmir, where time is in short supply.
In the Eselmir world, you and Fenis will solve a story that takes you through a journey of:

To start with you'll learn all about Eselmir, from its history, its current state, its people, the refugees and its unique and unforgettable characters.
You will meet the ultimate baddies and the most likable characters of the game.
You will meet iconic female characters such as the Queen, the Shepherdess, the Peasant Girl, the Baroness and the Lord's daughter.
You will meet the most important men of Eselmir: The King, Lord and Executioner.
You will meet your foster brother, the Prince, and witness your mom's death.
You will play as Fenis, a wizard who will learn magic and fight your way through the terrible city.
Besides the main story, the game contains many optional gameplay aspects like:
• Free roam mode: travel on the streets of Eselmir
• 3D hacking mechanics: manipulate objects and their interaction
• Night time mode: explore Eselmir's night time
• Many puzzles
• Many adventure elements
• Many consequences
• Many side quests and secrets of the world
Cosmos: Escape From Freedom is a work-in-progress puzzle platformer with no shortage of ambitions. You play as an astronaut who wakes up from a cryogenic sleep in a laboratory that has become your prison. The experiment you were part of is a bit more... complicated, and you now need to find a way out. The game uses a unique retro 8-bit-style graphical style and a zany retro-synthesized metal soundtrack to inject the player with quite the dose of nostalgia, with French localisation inspired by the Space Channel 5 and The Last Starfighter movies. If you like those games, you will love Cosmos: Escape From Freedom.

Created with the Rebirth Engine version 0.02 built by Grégory Desmurs and Kevin Brohee
This game got a very very long developpement : 3 years to be precise ;)
As the other resources used are tiny (saving file, sound...) I decided to put all the extras that didn't fit in the game (extras, hints, complete walkthrough...) in a seperate package. It took me some time to finish this project...
May be I'll add some more stuff in a future update.

NB : The Steam version of the game does not use the Rebirth Engine, so don't be fooled by the version number which is quite high : the Rebirth version 0.02 is from 2007.
