The TIDL Protocol
The following protocol questions are intended to aid in the curation of resources. When adding a resource to the TIDL playlist, answer each of the following questions to help curate your resource.

What is the resource? (Identity)
What does the resource say about itself? (Hint: check the "About" page.)
What do you say about the resource? Spend some time exploring the resource, and then review it here.
How up-to-date is the resource?
Who or what is the author or sponsor of the resource?

What can you do with the resource? (Purpose)
How could the resource be used in the classroom?
How could the resource be used in the workplace?
How could the resource be used in the home?

Who is the intended audience for the resource? (Audience)
Who is the resource meant for? How can you tell?
Who might benefit the most from the resource? Why?

What other resources exist that are similar to this one? (Connection)
Make connections with other resources. How are they similar? 
How are they different?
Should all resources on the same topic be included or are some clearly superior to the others?

Where does this resource best fit? (Organization)
Is there a category (or “bucket”) for this resource? 
If not, does the resource require that a new category be added? Why or why not?

How effective is this resource? (Evaluation)
Is this a high-quality resource? How do you know? What standards of evaluation are you using (or would one typically use) to evaluate this resource?
What is the sponsoring organization? What can you tell about the source based on just this information?
Is there another resource that does a better job of doing what this source does?

What can you do with this collection of resources? (Creation)
How can this be used?
What venues would be appropriate for this collection?
What kind of work can it do for you as a student, researcher, teacher, or worker?
