Pubg developer Krafton has filed a Lawsuit against Garena Free Fire the company that made the popular online shooter PUBG, has sued Garena, Apple, and Google, saying that Garena's mobile games are copies of its game. The case says that Apple and Google let Garena's version of the game, which broke the law, be sold on their app shops. Krafton wants Garena, Apple, and Google to pay money because they broke their copyright when they made Free Fire and Free Fire Max. Free Fire is called a survival shooter game where 50 people fight in 10-minute rounds on islands.

Krafton says that both games copy PUBG in a lot of ways, including features, weapons, items, places, and design elements that are unique to PUBG. Even though Free Fire and Free Fire Max are free, you can buy things from within the apps. Krafton says that Garena has made "hundreds of millions of dollars" from the games, and that both Apple and Google have made money by distributing them.

Before, Krafton asked Garena to stop making money off of the games, but Garena said no. In the case, Apple and Google are also accused of picking and choosing which copyright rules to follow. They are also held responsible for willful infringement. YouTube is also being sued because it has videos of people playing Free Fire and Free Fire Max.

Krafton asked YouTube to take down these videos, but the company says it hasn't done so. In addition to this case, a hackers group that made cheats for PUBG Mobile was just told to pay Krafton $10 million in damages. Krafton aims to put the money into technology that makes it harder to cheat.

This is the latest case against PUBG, but the game's creator says that making the game free-to-play on consoles and PC is not a response to games like Fortnite and Apex Legends.

But none of the parties have followed through, which is what led to this big case. Krafton has also asked YouTube to take down videos of Garena's games.
