The blessing of having an expert koi keeper was not enough to make my luck get better, not in a year. I needed someone who could keep my luck alive for a full year to see if I could get lucky just once. I wanted a year of luck so bad. As I went to the backyard, I saw a big, young cat with a lazy stance. He is a koi; my luck!
I wanted to see if I could keep him alive. So, I began my training. If you can't follow, then don't bother.

Koigai Cat
I took an orange for him. Koi likes them very much. The koigai must be orange. If the orange falls, he'll eat it. So, I decided I'd need to find an orange to feed my koigai.
In this time, I was still a nebbish and I didn't know a single thing. I must be a thorough person if I want to get lucky. I started my search.
Later, I found my koigai in the gutters. He was dirty and hungry. No! I'd hate to call him ugly, I want him to grow up to be a handsome koi. I fed him and brought him home. I gave him a bath and gave him a name, Koigai.
It's not a name fit for a great Koi, but Koigai is the only name that I could think of. I didn't know any of the words 'Shodoigai' and I couldn't call him Koigai in any way.
I brought him to the backyard, where I live. He is a great Koi that has the luck to live. His big size is the evidence of his luck. I hoped he'd do well for me.
