Instant Media Gallery Free - PlatinumEdit! PlatinumEdit! is a special version of the popular Instant Media Gallery. Some features are different, there is a new beta version, new skins and some (minor) changes. I just have the Normal and the Style Pack installed, but the Style Pack is required to use all the new features in this version of Instant Media Gallery.
The first beta version was made in 2007. It was sponsored by www.EasyPhotoEdit.com and they are the ones that introduced the new skins and the Beta Version.
Many sites and forums have been discussing the beta Version and a lot of questions arise.
If you want to use this new version, first upgrade to the last stable version. Then download the new Beta Version and uninstall the old version. You will get a message at uninstall but keep pressing the button "Close..." It will change to "Installing..." and then after the installing, you can remove the old version.

Installation:
1. Have the source files
2. Run the installer
3. Edit php.ini to the required ports (i.e. 8080)
4. Create the directories (If you are using PHP with Apache) - Thumb: /var/www/thumbs
- New root: /var/www
- New uploads: /var/www/uploads
- Database: /var/www/databases
5. Put the files in /var/www/thumbs/
6. Insert the following in apache2.conf (replace "your_base_url" and "your_allow_url" with your corresponding values)
