Jesus Christ Superstar Movie Download Torrent
The film stars both an uncredited Keith Andes as Jesus and Wayne Brady as John the Baptist (the lead role of Jesus was played by Jeremy Kemp), and is the first film adaptation of the musical of the same name, based on the Jesus Christ Superstar stage musical. Plot
The film begins with Jesus (Keith Andes) and Mary Magdalene (played by Charline Morgan) preparing for the Passover, which begins on March 27. Jesus' family have been confined to the synagogue. After a scuffle, the mob break in and attempt to burn the temple down, but a soldier with a sword is positioned in front of the door to block the entrance. A priest named Judas (William Archibald) steps out and tries to get everyone to join in singing the Passover hymn. Judas and his friends are, however, interrupted by an earthquake, which scares everyone else away.
Meanwhile, the Judas character (played by Frank Gorshin) is fleeing for his life, as he is being hunted by the Romans. Judas meets John the Baptist (Wayne Brady), who is similarly fleeing. The two escape in the forest. John meets Jesus and Mary. The two are ecstatic to see each other again, and Mary thinks that they might flee the country. They gather other followers to join them.
During the night, John and his followers are attacked by bandits, and John is thrown into a pit with a rabid wolf. His followers rescue him, but the wolf is captured and killed. The group celebrates John's rescue, but are saddened to hear that his mother has recently died. They decide to go to a nearby city called Cana to celebrate the arrival of Jesus.
Back in Jerusalem, the Passover is approaching. Judas suggests they kill Jesus, but they agree to not to do so yet. The priest arrives at the house, and tells the entire congregation that Jesus has been found dead.
John decides to go to the desert with his followers and has a vision where the spirit of Jesus tells him to go to the river Jordan to be baptized by John. When he gets there, John sees Jesus' ghost floating down the river in the form of a dove. John tries to baptize Jesus, but the crowd (who had previously sent him away) are again trying to get him to lead the Passover ceremony. John flees and rides off to
