I like the author, but their software is not as good as the ones mentioned above. Maybe I have been lucky with the customer support, but I can not use this software. It costs $69, but works, they can not even imagine what is missing...

Does not work. The author's fault is not to mention that they have no idea what is lacking, they just do not want to help.
With BookSmart you can not create book; it always give you error. I don't know what kind of error. This is not my fault. I have spent the money. It must be your problem. I have suggested many times to the author to give me the proper download link, but so far he hasn't given one.
I have the latest versions of both Paint.NET and BookSmart installed on my Win7 tablet. Although BookSmart is the more powerful of the two, Paint.NET comes with many default book styles out of the box that people will see. You might want to grab Paint.NET anyway; just save you time by going straight to BookSmart if you are specifically looking to create a book.
You should get an update soon. The latest version has been released, but the link you have been given is out of date. When you are on the home page, click on the "for the professional" tab. You should see a button saying "Check for updates", that will take you to the page where you can download the latest version, after that you just have to open it up in Windows Explorer.
You will need to use a USB connection in order to get the new version of BookSmart.

I recently bought Booksmart 6.3.
It has worked fine, showing me the step by step progress, it shows the wordcount etc.
The problem is that it won't save the picture when I call it up in the next program, Photoshop Elements for example. When I try to open it in Photoshop Elements I get a message that 'failed to open s file, file cannot be opened...'
I tried to re-order the pictures in a different way, also tried downloading the file again. Nothing is working
any ideas?
