Take a look at the learning outcomes for this course in the syllabus. Making specific references to your work in this course, tell me how you have progressed toward achieving at least 2 of those outcomes.

I have progresses toward achieving (continuing to use) 1.Describe reasons for collecting observation and assessment data. I have progressed in this area because I am now able to describe some of the reasons for assessment data and observations. Also why do I as a teacher use observations and assessments in my teaching. 5. Document and analyze data for use in planning curriculum for individual and groups of children. Analyzing and documenting data while I am planning my curriculum I can work on the groups of children and individualized studies for certain children. In conclusion I am aware a bit more of my tools and I can use for my teaching and classroom.
2. Consider your definition of behavior. How have your assumptions or understandings changed? Why?
My definition prior of behavior was the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward others. My understandings and assumptions have changed because behavior as described in my book “ A Guidance Approach for the Encouraging Classroom” taught me that behavior can also be look on in different ways. Also that behavior can be reinforced in many ways.
3.How might you apply what you have learned in your classroom?
I will apply the knowledge I learned in my classroom by providing examples of the things I was taught in my class. I will also apply it to my classroom by understanding more of why that is happening at the precise moment in the classroom. In conclusion I will use a majority of what I gained knowledge of in the course to aide children in a guidance approach for encouraging the classroom and themselves.
4.As an early childhood professional, explain how you will collaborate with families to ethically support and enhance learning and development.
As an early childhood professional I will collaborate with families to support them ethically and enhance their development and learning through the forms of communication. I will also collaborate with families on developing by having family partnerships between my families. Also that families are their children first teachers,the teachers and school are second. In conclusion we will work together in unison deciding the areas of development and learning need for the children.
5.Discuss some challenges you had while supporting behaviors and how you might overcome similar challenges as an early childhood professional.
I came across a handful of challenges while supporting behaviors. I will overcome similar challenges as an early childhood professional by remembering my knowledge and information from my book and college course information. I will also use the challenges I even through as a childhood professional and view them as experiences and how can I use the knowledge I have learned to help with the behaviors.
