Primary and Secondary Prevention:
Primary prevention: 
Pharmacological therapies lead to a slight decrease in incidence of alzheimers and dementia. Examples would be Antihypertensive drugs. Mr Mazivise would have to have access to a health facility that provides mental health services such as Johannesburg General hospital
Dietry supplemets such as antioxidant vitamins. Examples would be ß‐carotene, vitamin C or vitamin E and more. Mr Mazivise would have to get these from pharmacies and supplement stores such as dischem.
Cognitive training. It has been argued that avid readers and scholars who continue learning untill their old age are less likely to have alzheimer's and or dimentia. Training your brain with learning, working and keeping busy is said to help prevent this degerative disease. Mr Mazivise would have to train the brain by learning new things, finding mentally challenging hobies and so forth.
Secondary prevention:
The purpose of secondary prevention is to detect the disease early while the patient is asymptomatic. At this point steps can be taken to prevent the patient form having progressive deterioration. Preventative measures would be to test or rather screen for symptoms that are found in alzheimers pateints. A  diagnostic work-up in those patients with a positive screen must be conducted. Finally, pharmacological, physiological and cognitive effective therapies must exist that are more beneficial at the presymptomatic than at the symptomatic phase.
