Now, Michael DeBakey was not simple enough to not do great things even in medical school. While he was still learning, he had made a roller pump which was used initially for blood transfusions. This pump later became an essential component of heart-lung machines. Michael had actually done a lot of great things, so I will be skipping some of it. Back to the 1900s, in 1932 Michael Ellis DeBakey earned his masters degree (or MD). 	He then did an internship from 1933 to 1935 at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He of course didn´t stop doing great things while working, so in 1935 he received a MS for doing research on stomach ulcers. Shortly afterward he went on for more training at University of Strasbourg. He returned home in 1937 and even married Diana Cooper. They had 4 kids together total. Hw then worked in the Surgical Consultants Division of the Army Surgeon General's Office for 5 years; he worked on improving surgeries.  He then worked at Baylor University of Medicine all the way till 1993. While working there he had done some more important stuff like after the the first heart-lung bypass machines were made, he (with others) were the FIRST to use them.
