Radiation Therapist

A radiation therapist is someone who helps and treats people using radiation. When they use radiation on patients, they usually use it to shrink or remove tumors and cancers. As the patient goes through the treatment, radiation therapists make sure that the patient is aware of their treatment plan and they are able to emotionally support them. A radiation therapist is also able to operate LINAC machines and needs to make sure that the patient is safe when exposed to the radiation. They are then required to track and record the patient's treatment while they also observe if the patient has any negative reactions to the treatment. The radiation therapist can work with Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicists to work out the treatment plan for their patient. "It's truly revolutionary technology for delivering radiation therapy." - Minesh Mehta
