This summary of #covid19uk tweets is based on TAGS data imported on an hourly basis during October, mapped in NodeXL 2/11/2021 and updated 17/11/2021 to capture subsequent retweeting. 
Based on that updated extract, there were 4,835 tweeters posting 11,158 #covid19uk tweets, with 30,416 retweets. Overall 88 tweeters (1.8%) received 80% of all retweets, and 3,216 tweeters (66.5%) received no retweets. The top 25 tweeters in October, based on number of retweets received by 17/11/2021, are shown in the table. 
Once again I have used the top 3 tweets (be retweets) per tweeter to then select the 3 most popular tweets for each day of October. This produces a mixed bag again - from "culture war" type posturing and bandwagon jumping (people selling ideas/ products on back of hashtag), to clear concerns about rising cases and international comparisons, to individuals posting anecdotes. 
The evidence is clearly in support of public health measures including social distancing, isolating if symptomatic/ test positive, and taking up the offer of vaccination. There is a lot of game playing, attention seeking and/or vested interests behind the claims of people who suggest otherwise. We can see the effects in the rising death figures. There is also no doubt plenty of hardship and distress behind some of the conspiracy minded tweets. I have captured a range of views in this summary to allow the the different perspectives to be understood and dis/misinformation to be counteracted. A PDF version of this summary is available.
