3) Pet fact files.  Reading for information. 
Last week we gathered and shared a lot of facts about how to look after our real-life pets and dream pets. You helped by making a lot of great suggestions about information that we still need to collect and share about our pets. We are going to investigate some of those questions today. (We'll come back to the other fab questions another time!) 
Today's task is focused on reading for information and we are going to find out some facts about our pet's species, that means what kind of animal our pet or dream pet is.
Use the link to the animal encyclopedia below to find three (or more!) fascinating facts to add to your pet fact file. You will need to use the pictures and headings to help you find the page about your pet. Then, read the words carefully to discover some fascinating facts. There is a fact file template with questions and tips to help you if you would like to use this.

Remember to keep your fact file somewhere safe when it is finished so that you can use the information for your personal talk later in the term!
