Does any one know a way to make something like this?
The idea is: if you press the tile and then keep it down for 5 seconds it will load the "Close" link on the tile (or whatever element).
I've been digging into Touch and Gesture events but I haven't found anything.

It would be possible with JavaScript - you would need to listen to the touchstart, touchend and the touchembedstart events.
On touchstart a variable would be created and set to false (or whatever state you consider the "down" state). On touchend you would check that variable to see if it is false. This would mean that only one touch would be registered per down and you would only be able to register a touch once.
To register a touchembedstart, you would check the event.target property. If that is the element you want to register for, then set your variable to true.
Note: if your target element is not a tiled element and you only want a single touch at a time, then you could use a bit of CSS trickery to make it look like a single tile as well:
