I am so proud of the commitment, flexibility and resilience that your young learners continue to show. Students are doing a great job of managing their schedules and advocating for themselves.  It is so important for them to remember that I value their input and use their feedback to guide our online experience.  Please remind them to reach out to me if something doesn't make sense, isn't working for them, or they are struggling to manage the work expectations. 
Our learning is a constant work in progress and we will adapt and revise as needed! The most important thing that they can do each and every day is to be gentle on themselves, try their best, and balance work and self-care time. It is important to develop routines and get into the habit of self-regulating their independent work time.  I encourage them to do this by using a timer and trying, as much as possible, to limit distractions and just focus on one task at a time during their asynchronous learning time.  It can be overwhelming if they have too many things on the go at once, and that can stunt students such that nothing gets done!  
If you notice your student frustrated or struggling with their work, please encourage them to reach out to me and we can work together to find a solution that will work for them.  I want them to be their own advocates as they prepare for junior high. Students are encouraged to keep a paper notebook by their Chromebook to take note of any questions, problems, or concerns that arise.  
Please remember, I continue to be here virtually to support their learning! These are stressful times and we all need to be gentle with ourselves; there is no handbook for any of us to follow!
